HomeMy Public PortalAbout13474ORDINANCE NO. 13474 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($330,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Ashby Road 3000 Block Storm Sewer (10371), in the City of St. Ann and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Two Hundred Thirty Two Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Two and 92/100 Dollars ($232,872.92) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Ninety Seven Thousand One Hundred Twenty Seven and 08/100 Dollars ($97,127.08), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($330,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Ashby Road 3000 Block Storm Sewer (10371), in the City of St. Ann and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Ashby Road 3000 Block Storm Sewer (10371), in the City of St. Ann and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of July, 2012. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 27, 2012.
