AN ORDINANCE, repealing and superseding Ordinance No. 13395, as adopted
June 14, 2012, creating a new fund to be known as the #5401- Bond Place Special Taxing
Subdistrict to fund projects in the Bond Place Special Taxing Subdistrict; transferring Seventy
Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) from the Improvement Fund and Ten Thousand Dollars
($10,000.00) from the Lower Meramec River Basin OMCI to the Bond Place Special Taxing
Subdistrict and appropriating Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00) from the Bond Place
Special Taxing Subdistrict to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Bond Place Sanitary Sewers (S.D. #2010094) (11067), in the City of Sunset Hills, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with the second low bidder, Gaehle Grading LLC,
for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said sanitary sewers is Fifty Three
Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Five dollars ($53,395.00), and the allowance for the
construction change orders, and cost of processing and administration of tax bills is Twenty Six
Thousand Six Hundred Five Dollars ($26,605.00), and
WHEREAS, proceedings have been taken for the construction of sanitary sewers
in Bond Place Sanitary Sewers (S.D. #2010094) (11067), and Eighty Thousand Dollars
($80,000.00) of said construction costs will be paid for by special tax bills or other evidence of
special benefit assessments upon the land benefited by such improvement, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Ordinance No. 13395, as adopted June 14, 2012, is hereby repealed.
Section Two. A new fund is hereby created, to be known as the #5401 Bond
Place Special Tax Subdistrict, to be used for funding projects in the Bond Place Special Taxing
Subdistrict.
Section Three: The sum of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) is hereby
transferred from the Improvement Fund to the Bond Place Special Taxing Subdistrict and the
sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) is hereby transferred from the Lower Meramec River
Basin OMCI to the Bond Place Special Taxing Subdistrict and the sum of Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($80,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Bond Place Special Taxing Subdistrict to
be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Bond Place Sanitary Sewers
(S.D. #2010094) (11067), in the City of Sunset Hills, Missouri.
Section Four. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gaehle Grading LLC as the second lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Bond Place Sanitary Sewers (S.D. #2010094) (11067), in the City of Sunset Hills,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of April 2012.
Section Five. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 2012.
