AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($240,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in High School Dr. & Madge Ave. Sewer Separation (10646) in
The City of Brentwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Metro Utilities, LLC for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is One Hundred Fifty Eight
Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars ($158,832.00), and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Eighty One Thousand One Hundred Sixty-Eight
Dollars ($81,168.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($240,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in High School Dr. & Madge Ave. Sewer Separation (10646) in
The City of Brentwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Metro Utilities, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
High School Dr. & Madge Ave. Sewer Separation (10646) in The City of Brentwood Missouri;
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of October, 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on December 13, 2012.
