AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($950,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction at
RDP Foulwater Interceptor Rehabilitation (Phase I) Abandon 7' Brick Sewer (10198), in The
City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is Eight Hundred
Eighteen Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty and 40/100 Dollars ($818,780.40) and the allowance
for change orders and other project costs is One Hundred Thirty One Thousand Two Hundred
Nineteen and 60/100 Dollars ($131,219.60), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($950,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
construction at RDP Foulwater Interceptor Rehabilitation (Phase I) Abandon 7' Brick Sewer
(10198), in The City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary sewer construction at RDP
Foulwater Interceptor Rehabilitation (Phase I) Abandon 7' Brick Sewer (10198), in The City of
St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of October, 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on December 13, 2012.
