AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars
($355,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Fountain Creek to be used for storm sewer construction at Harrison - St. Marie Storm Sewer
(10331), in The City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with TAP Utilities, LLC for the construction of the aforesaid sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the storm sewer construction is Two Hundred Eighty One
Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars ($281,447.00) and the allowance for change orders
and other project costs is Seventy Three Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars
($73,553.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars
($355,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Fountain Creek to be used for storm sewer construction at Harrison -
St. Marie Storm Sewer (10331), in The City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
TAP Utilities, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the storm sewer construction at Harrison
- St. Marie Storm Sewer (10331), in The City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 18th day of October, 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 10, 2013.
