AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ninety Eight Thousand Dollars ($98,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Parkwoods - Dickson Storm Sewer
(11130), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with TAP Utilities, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Eighty Four Thousand
Four Hundred Forty and 10/100 Dollars ($84,440.10) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Thirteen Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Nine and 90/100
Dollars ($13,559.90), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Ninety Eight Thousand Dollars ($98,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Parkwoods - Dickson
Storm Sewer (11130), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
TAP Utilities, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
Parkwoods - Dickson Storm Sewer (11130), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 17th day of October, 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 10, 2013.
