AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in RDP Foulwater Interceptor Rehabilitation (Phase I): Vent
Pipes (10198), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million One
Hundred Ninety Thousand Nine Hundred Sixteen and 90/100 Dollars ($1,190,916.90) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Fifty Nine
Thousand Eighty-Three and 10/100 Dollars ($259,083.10); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in RDP Foulwater Interceptor Rehabilitation
(Phase I): Vent Pipes (10198), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
RDP Foulwater Interceptor Rehabilitation (Phase I): Vent Pipes (10198), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of December 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 14, 2013.
