HomeMy Public PortalAbout13573ORDINANCE NO. 13573 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($370,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Page Ave. & Lindbergh Sanitary Sewer (10725) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Midwest Mole, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Three Hundred Twenty Four Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($324,968.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty Five Thousand Thirty-Two Dollars ($45,032.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($370,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Page Ave. & Lindbergh Sanitary Sewer (10725) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Midwest Mole, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Page Ave. & Lindbergh Sanitary Sewer (10725) in Unincorporated St. Louis County Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of January, 2013. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 14, 2013.
