AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,250,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Providence Place Sanitary Relief (10184) in Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Metro
Utilities, LLC for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is One Million One Hundred
Ninety Five Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($1,195,445.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Fifty Four Thousand Five Hundred
Fifty-Five Dollars ($54,555.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,250,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Providence Place Sanitary Relief (10184)
in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Metro Utilities, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Providence Place Sanitary Relief (10184) in Unincorporated St. Louis County Missouri; pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of January, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 14, 2013.
