HomeMy Public PortalAbout13575ORDINANCE NO. 13575 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,100,000.00) from the Meramec River Basin Subdistrict #449 and Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Riverside and Yarnell Sanitary Relief (SKME-400) (10146), in City of Fenton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Six Million Nine Hundred Ninety Five Thousand Nine Hundred Ten and 45/100 Dollars, ($6,995,910.45) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Nine Hundred Four Thousand Eighty Nine and 55/100 Dollars ($904,089.55), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above named funds sufficient to pay the obligations authorized herein BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Meramec River Basin Subdistrict #449, and the sum of Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Riverside and Yarnell Sanitary Relief (SKME-400) (10146), in City of Fenton, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Riverside and Yarnell Sanitary Relief (SKME-400)(10146) in City of Fenton Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of January 2013. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 14, 2013.
