HomeMy Public PortalAbout13576ORDINANCE NO. 13576 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Maline Trunk Sanitary Relief Phase III Section C (10782) in City of Ferguson and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Three Million Ninety Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($3,099,978.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seven Hundred Thousand Twenty-Two Dollars ($700,022.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Maline Trunk Sanitary Relief Phase III Section C (10782) in City of Ferguson and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Maline Trunk Sanitary Relief Phase III Section C (10782) in City of Ferguson and Unincorporated St. Louis County Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of January, 2013. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 14, 2013.
