AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($115,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction and Improvement Fund of
University City to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Page Ave.
#9441-9445 Storm Sewer (10295), in The City of Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with T and J Lawn and Tree Service for the aforesaid storm sewer
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Eighty Four Thousand
Nine Hundred Ninety Dollars ($84,990.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and
other project expenses is Thirty Thousand Ten Dollars ($30,010.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($115,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction and Improvement Fund of
University City to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Page Ave.
#9441-9445 Storm Sewer (10295), in The City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
T and J Lawn and Tree Service as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm
sewers in Page Ave. #9441-9445 Storm Sewer (10295), in The City of Overland, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of February, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 22, 2013.
