HomeMy Public PortalAbout13591ORDINANCE NO. 13591 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (“MSD”) to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, whereby the entities agree to amend the Mason Tillman Contract with MSD dated February 21, 2012 to include scope of services for Mason Tillman to conduct a separate Disparity Study report for both the City and the County. WHEREAS, the Charter of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District empowers the District to contract with municipalities, districts, other public agencies, individuals, or private corporations, or any of them whether within or without the District, for the construction, use, or maintenance of common or joint sewers, drains, outlets, or disposal plants, or for the performance of any service required by the District; and for the connection with and use of the facilities of the District, and WHEREAS, the advantages of said amended contract includes a cost savings from the overlap of certain required tasks for each study report for entities in a common service area; and a more uniform implementation of procurement recommendations in the region by each entity to benefit minority and women-owned business enterprises; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, whereby the entities agree to amend the Mason Tillman with MSD dated February 21, 2012 to include scope of services for Mason Tillman to conduct a separate Disparity Study report for both the City and the County. Section Two. The Intergovernmental Agreement authorized in Section One of this ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of General Counsel of the District. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 22, 2013.
