AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty One Million Six Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($21,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
construction at Lemay Pump Station No. 1 Redundant Force Main (11123), in The City of
St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with SAK Construction LLC for the construction of the aforesaid sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is Nineteen Million Seven
Hundred Eighty Three Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy Dollars ($19,783,970.00) and the
allowance for change orders and other project costs is One Million Eight Hundred Sixteen
Thousand and Thirty Dollars ($1,816,030.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($21,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
sanitary sewer construction at Lemay Pump Station No. 1 Redundant Force Main (11123), in
The City of St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
SAK Construction LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary sewer construction at
Lemay Pump Station No. 1 Redundant Force Main (11123), in The City of St. Louis and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st
day of March, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 9, 2013.
