AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars
($190,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I
removal in Creve Coeur Creek Watershed Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation (10568), in The Cities
of Ballwin and Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20032 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is One Hundred Forty Eight
Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($148,100.00) and the allowance for construction change orders
and other project expenses is Forty One Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($41,900.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($190,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
private I/I removal in Creve Coeur Creek Watershed Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation (10568), in
The Cities of Ballwin and Chesterfield, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20032 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal in Creve Coeur Creek Watershed Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation (10568), in The Cities
of Ballwin and Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of
March, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 13, 2013.
