HomeMy Public PortalAbout13605ORDINANCE NO. 13605 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($440,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for wastewater treatment plant construction in Lower Meramec River WWTP Educational/Recreational Facility (11106), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20037 with Kozeny-Wagner, Inc., Inc. for the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said wastewater treatment plant construction is Four Hundred Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-Eight and 05/100 Dollars ($408,998.05) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirty One Thousand One and 95/100 Dollars ($31,001.95), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-referenced fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($440,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for wastewater treatment plant construction in Lower Meramec River WWTP Educational/Recreational Facility (11106). Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20037 with Kozeny-Wagner, Inc., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater treatment plant construction in Lower Meramec River WWTP Educational/Recreational Facility (11106), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of April, 2013. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 13, 2013.
