HomeMy Public PortalAbout13607ORDINANCE NO. 13607 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Taylor-Fillmore-Harrison Sanitary Relief (SKME-502 & 503) (10121), in Unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20033 with Gershenson Construction, Co., Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Three Million Seventy Eight Thousand Sixty-Eight and 40/100 Dollars ($3,078,068.40) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Twenty One Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-One and 60/100 Dollars ($321,931.60), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-referenced fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Taylor-Fillmore-Harrison Sanitary Relief (SKME-502 & 503) (10121) in Unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20033 with Gershenson Construction, Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Taylor -Fillmore-Harrison Sanitary Relief (SKME-502 & 503) (10121), in Unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of April, 2013. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 13, 2013.
