HomeMy Public PortalAbout13627ORDINANCE NO. 13627 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Deer Creek/Maline Creek Public I/I Reduction (11829), in the Cities of Ferguson, Frontenac and Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 11010 with SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Three Million One Hundred Fifty Two Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-One and 95/100 Dollars ($3,152,461.95) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Ninety Seven Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-Eight and 05/100 Dollars ($197,538.05), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-referenced fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Deer Creek/Maline Creek Public I/I Reduction (11829). Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 11010 with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Deer Creek/Maline Creek Public I/I Reduction (11829), in the Cities of Ferguson, Frontenac and Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of March, 2013. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 9, 2013.
