AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,600,000.00) from the General Fund to be used for project costs for wastewater treatment
plant construction in Coldwater Creek WWTP Digester Clean-Out (11117) in Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20036 with
Synagro Technologies, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is One Million One Hundred
Ninety Thousand Dollars ($1,190,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and
other project expenses is Four Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($410,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund to be used for project costs for
wastewater treatment plant construction in Coldwater Creek WWTP Digester Clean-Out (11117)
in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20036 with Synagro Technologies, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater
treatment plant construction in Coldwater Creek WWTP Digester Clean-Out (11117) in
Unincorporated St. Louis County Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 24th day
of April, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 11, 2013.
