AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in Webster Groves Trunk "E" Sanitary Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction
Phase II (10793), in the Cities of Glendale, Kirkwood, Rock Hill and Webster Groves, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20020 with Insituform Technologies USA,
LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Four Million Six
Hundred Eighty Two Thousand One Hundred Seventy Seven and 50/100 Dollars
($4,682,177.50) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Two Hundred Seventeen Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Two and 50/100 Dollars
($217,822.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-referenced fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Webster Groves Trunk "E" Sanitary
Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction Phase II (10793).
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20020 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in Webster Groves Trunk "E" Sanitary Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction
Phase II (10793), in the Cities of Glendale, Kirkwood, Rock Hill and Webster Groves, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of April, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 11, 2013.
