AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for public and private I/I removal in
Glendale Section D Sanitary Relief Phase IV (SKME-624) I/I Reduction (11122), in The Cities
of Glendale, Kirkwood, Rock Hill and Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 20055 with SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid public and private I/I
removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said public and private I/I removal is Four Million Six
Hundred Fifty Seven Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Six and 55/100 Dollars ($4,657,176.55)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred
Forty Two Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Three and 45/100 Dollars ($342,823.45).
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-referenced fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for public and
private I/I removal in Glendale Section D Sanitary Relief Phase IV (SKME-624) I/I Reduction
(11122) in The Cities of Glendale, Kirkwood, Rock Hill and Webster Groves, Missouri; and
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20055 with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for public and private
I/I removal in Glendale Section D Sanitary Relief Phase IV (SKME-624) I/I Reduction (11122),
in The Cities of Glendale, Kirkwood, Rock Hill and Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 14th day of June 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on August 8, 2013.
