HomeMy Public PortalAbout13652ORDINANCE NO. 13652 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2013) Contract A (11706), in Unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20015 with SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Four Million Seven Hundred Fifty Five Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Two and 85/100 Dollars ($4,755,882.85) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Forty Four Thousand One Hundred Seventeen and 15/100 Dollars ($244,117.15). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-referenced fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2013) Contract A (11706) in Unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20015 with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2013) Contract A (11706), in Unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 31st day of May 2013. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on August 8, 2013.
