AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for wastewater
treatment plant construction in Lemay WWTP Outfall 002 Elimination (11132), in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20056 with Pangea Group for the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said wastewater treatment plant construction is One
Million Three Hundred Eight Five Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars ($1,385,666.00) and
the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred
Fourteen Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars ($214,334.00).
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for wastewater treatment plant construction in Lemay WWTP Outfall 002
Elimination (11132), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20056 with Pangea Group as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater treatment plant
construction in Lemay WWTP Outfall 002 Elimination (11132), in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of June 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on July 11, 2013.
