AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars
($760,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Sun Valley I/I Reduction (10770), in the City of Jennings and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20043 with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer
rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Seven Hundred Eight
Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-Six Dollars ($708,526.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Fifty One Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Four
Dollars ($51,474.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($760,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Sun Valley I/I Reduction (10770), in the City of Jennings and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20043 with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Sun Valley I/I Reduction (10770), in the City of Jennings and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th
day of June, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 12, 2013.
