AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($930,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Jeske Park Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-314)
(10781), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20059 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Eight Hundred Three
Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-One Dollars ($803,351.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Twenty Six Thousand Six Hundred
Forty-Nine Dollars ($126,649.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($930,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Jeske Park Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-314)
(10781), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20059 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction
of sanitary sewers in Upper Jeske Park Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-314) (10781), in the City
of Ferguson, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of July, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 12, 2013.
