AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in CC-17 Four Seasons Branch Sanitary Relief Phase II (10549),
in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20070 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two Million
Five Hundred Eighty Five Thousand One Hundred Four Dollars ($2,585,104.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Fourteen
Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars ($314,896.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-17 Four Seasons Branch Sanitary
Relief Phase II (10549), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20070 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in CC-17 Four Seasons Branch Sanitary Relief Phase II (10549),
in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of
August, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 10, 2013.
