HomeMy Public PortalAbout13725ORDINANCE NO. 13725 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($580,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Duchesne Parque No. 1 Pump Station Elimination (P-407) (10335), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20068 with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Four Hundred Ninety Six Thousand One Hundred-Eight and 66/100 Dollars ($496,108.66) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighty Three Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety-One and 34/100 Dollars ($83,891.34), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($580,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Duchesne Parque No. 1 Pump Station Elimination (P-407) (10335), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20068 with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Duchesne Parque No. 1 Pump Station Elimination (P-407) (10335), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of August, 2013. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 10, 2013.
