HomeMy Public PortalAbout13734ORDINANCE NO. 13734 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to enter into a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) with St. Louis area community groups and/or organizations ("Signatories") whereby the CBA describes how the District and Signatories will work together towards meeting vendor and workforce diversity goals. WHEREAS, the District and the Signatories have engaged in extensive Stakeholder communications, and WHEREAS, the CBA describes the investment in time and resources that the District will make to assist its Stakeholders in meeting the District's vendor and workforce diversity goals, and WHEREAS, the Signatories will have involvement in the execution and oversight of the CBA in exchange for a commitment to refrain from litigation associated with or related to the CIRP and any demonstrations or visible actions that may obstruct business related to the CIRP. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director, on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, is hereby authorized to enter into the CBA with St. Louis area Community groups and/or organizations. Section Two. The CBA authorized for entry in Section One of this Ordinance shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 10, 2013.
