AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,750,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Lemay Public I/I Reduction (2014) Contract B (11870) in The
Cities of University City, Olivette, Overland, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20082 with Visu-Sewer of Missouri, LLC for
the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is One Million
Five Hundred Ninety One Thousand Two Hundred Forty-Nine and 60/100 Dollars
($1,591,249.60), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is One
Hundred Fifty Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty and 40/100 Dollars ($158,750.40), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Lemay Public I/I Reduction (2014)
Contract B (11870) in The Cities of University City, Olivette, Overland, and Unincorporated St.
Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20082 with Visu-Sewer of Missouri, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Lemay Public I/I Reduction (2014) Contract B (11870) in The
Cities of University City, Olivette, Overland, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 13th day of November, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 9, 2014.
