AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,100,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for public and
private I/I removal in Rock Hill Public I/I Reduction (SKME-618) (11885), in The Cities of
Ladue, Kirkwood, Rock Hill and Warson Woods, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 20081 with SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid public and private I/I
removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said public and private I/I removal is Three Million Eight
Hundred Sixty Nine Thousand Two Hundred Ninety Three and 05/100 Dollars ($3,869,293.05)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred
Thirty Thousand Seven Hundred Six and 95/100 Dollars ($230,706.95), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for public and private I/I removal in Rock Hill Public I/I Reduction (SKME-618)
(11885), in The Cities of Ladue, Kirkwood, Rock Hill and Warson Woods, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
20081 with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for public and private I/I
removal in Rock Hill Public I/I Reduction (SKME-618) (11885), in The Cities of Ladue,
Kirkwood, Rock Hill and Warson Woods, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the
20th day of November, 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 13, 2014.
