AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Vertex
Business Services whereby Vertex will perform outsourced billing services; call center services
and implementation services to upgrade the billing and collection technology system for the
District.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One: The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer, on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Vertex
Business Systems whereby Vertex will provide outsourced billing services, call center services
and implementation services to upgrade the billing and collection technology system for the
District.
Section Two: The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance shall
provide for an initial term of seven (7) years and may be renewed for additional one-year terms
at the District's option unless otherwise terminated; whereby Vertex will provide implementation
services for a fee of Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,500,000.00) and whereby
Vertex will provide call center and billing/collection system services as authorized in the
contract and shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the office
of the General Counsel of the District.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 13, 2014.
