AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,100,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Cedarcrest Sanitary Relief (SKME-561) I/I Reduction
(11722), in the Cities of Ladue, Olivette and University City and St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20108 with SAK Construction, LLC for the
aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Two Million Eight
Hundred Seventy Three Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-Two and 10/100 Dollars
($2,873,932.10) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Two Hundred Twenty Six Thousand Sixty-Seven and 90/100 Dollars ($226,067.90), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Cedarcrest Sanitary Relief (SKME-561)
I/I Reduction (11722), in the Cities of Ladue, Olivette and University City and St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20108 with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of
sanitary sewers in Cedarcrest Sanitary Relief (SKME-561) I/I Reduction (11722), in the Cities of
Ladue, Olivette and University City and St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 19th day of December 2013.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 12, 2014.
