AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Lynn Haven I/I
Reduction (11652), in the Cities of Hazelwood and Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20127 with Gershenson Construction Co. for the aforesaid
private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Forty Two Thousand Three
Hundred Two and 73/100 Dollars ($42,302.73) and the allowance for construction change orders
and other project expenses is Seven Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Seven and 27/100 Dollars
(7,697.27), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I
removal in Lynn Haven I/I Reduction (11652), in the Cities of Hazelwood and Florissant,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20127 with Gershenson Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal in Lynn Haven I/I Reduction (11652), in the Cities of Hazelwood and Florissant,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of January, 2014
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 12, 2014.
