AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nineteen Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
($19,200.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I
removal in Derhake I/I Reduction & Capri to S. Waterford Sanitary Relief (11736), in the City of
Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20131 with Fred M. Luth
& Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Twelve Thousand Eight
Hundred Forty Dollars ($12,840.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project expenses is Six Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Dollars ($6,360.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nineteen Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($19,200.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
private I/I removal in Derhake I/I Reduction & Capri to S. Waterford Sanitary Relief (11736), in
the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20131 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal in Derhake I/I Reduction & Capri to S. Waterford Sanitary Relief (11736), in the City of
Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of February 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on April 10, 2014.
