AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($5,150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur Creek (L-52) Force Main Improvements Phase II
(11825), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20143 with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Four Million Seven
Hundred Eighty-Two Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($4,782,159.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Sixty-
Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-One Dollars ($367,841.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-referenced fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($5,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur Creek (L-52) Force Main
Improvements Phase II (11825) in The City of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20143 with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur Creek (L-52) Force Main Improvements Phase II
(11825), in The City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the
21st day of March, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 8, 2014.
