AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million One Hundred Twenty-Five
Thousand Dollars ($1,125,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 Fee Fee - Alan Shepard I-270 Sanitary
Relief Phase V (10600), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20135 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Nine Hundred
Eighty-One Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars ($981,987.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Forty-Three Thousand
Thirteen Dollars ($143,013.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($1,125,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 Fee Fee - Alan Shepard I-270
Sanitary Relief Phase V (10600), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20135 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 Fee Fee - Alan Shepard I-270 Sanitary Relief Phase V
(10600), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the
11th day of March, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 8, 2014.
