HomeMy Public PortalAbout13819ORDINANCE NO. 13819 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Wise and Mabel Sewer Separation (10029) in The City of Richmond Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20142 with Gershenson Construction Co. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Three Million Six Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-One and 75/100 Dollars ($3,654,531.75), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Six Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-Eight and 25/100 Dollars ($645,468.25), and an appropriation in the succeeding fiscal year will complete the total funding of said project. WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Wise and Mabel Sewer Separation (10029) in The City of Richmond Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20142 with Gershenson Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Wise and Mabel Sewer Separation (10029) in The City of Richmond Heights Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 14th day of March, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 8, 2014.
