AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Bellefontaine
#2 Lateral Sanitary Relief (BP-287) (Coburg Lands Dr) (11684), in the City of Bellefontaine
Neighbors, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20136 with Fred M. Luth
& Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Thirty-Two Thousand Fifty-
Five Dollars ($32,055.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project
expenses is Seventeen Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($17,945.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I
removal in Bellefontaine #2 Lateral Sanitary Relief (BP-287) (Coburg Lands Dr) (11684), in the
City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20136 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal in Bellefontaine #2 Lateral Sanitary Relief (BP-287) (Coburg Lands Dr) (11684), in the
City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day
of March, 2014
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 8, 2014.
