HomeMy Public PortalAbout13828ORDINANCE NO. 13828 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Fifty-Three Thousand Dollars ($553,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Cedarcrest Private I/I Reduction (SKME-561) (11884), in the Cities of Ladue, Olivette, and University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20153 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Four Hundred Seven Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars ($407,465.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Five Hundred Thirty- Five Dollars ($145,535.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Fifty-Three Thousand Dollars ($553,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Cedarcrest Private I/I Reduction (SKME-561) (11884), in the Cities of Ladue, Olivette, and University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20153 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I removal in Cedarcrest Private I/I Reduction (SKME-561) (11884), in the Cities of Ladue, Olivette, and University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of April, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 12, 2014.
