HomeMy Public PortalAbout13830ORDINANCE NO. 13830 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($1,270,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Glendale Section D Sanitary Relief Phase III (SKME-624) I/I Reduction (10458), in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20158 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Six Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars ($692,422.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Five Hundred Seventy-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($577,578.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($1,270,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for private I/I removal in Glendale Section D Sanitary Relief Phase III (SKME-624) I/I Reduction (10458), in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20158 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I removal in Glendale Section D Sanitary Relief Phase III (SKME-624) I/I Reduction (10458), in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day of April, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 12, 2014.
