HomeMy Public PortalAbout13834ORDINANCE NO. 13834 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,950,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction at Woodsmill Sanitary Relief (SKME-020) (10237), in the Cities of Town & Country and Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20159 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is Three Million Six Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars ($3,696,395.00) and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is Two Hundred Fifty-Three Thousand Six Hundred Five Dollars ($253,605.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,950,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction at Woodsmill Sanitary Relief (SKME-020) (10237), in the Cities of Town & Country and Chesterfield, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20159 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary sewer construction at Woodsmill Sanitary Relief (SKME-020) (10237), in the Cities of Town & Country and Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of April, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 12, 2014.
