AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred Dollars
($57,600.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Conway Rd 11700
Storm Sewer (11832), in the Village of Westwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 20141 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Forty-Seven Thousand
Seven Hundred Eighty-Four Dollars ($47,784.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($9,816.00),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred Dollars
($57,600.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Conway Rd 11700 Storm Sewer (11832), in the Village of Westwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20141 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Conway Rd 11700 Storm Sewer (11832), in the Village of
Westwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of March, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 12, 2014.
