HomeMy Public PortalAbout13860ORDINANCE NO. 13860 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal at Ayres Sanitary Relief and I/I Reduction (10523), in the Cities of Crestwood, Glendale and Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20155 with Gershenson Construction Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is One Million Seven Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($1,769,675.00) and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($230,325.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal at Ayres Sanitary Relief and I/I Reduction (10523), in the Cities of Crestwood, Glendale and Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20155 with Gershenson Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary sewer construction at Ayres Sanitary Relief and I/I Reduction (10523), in the Cities of Crestwood, Glendale and Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of April, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on July 10, 2014.
