HomeMy Public PortalAbout13861ORDINANCE NO. 13861 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,100,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-11 Fee Fee Creek Sanitary Relief (10014) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20151 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Eight Million Five Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($8,549,625.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($450,375.00), and an appropriation in the succeeding fiscal year will complete the total funding of said project. WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-11 Fee Fee Creek Sanitary Relief (10014) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20151 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-11 Fee Fee Creek Sanitary Relief (10014) in the City of Maryland Heights Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of April, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on July 10, 2014.
