HomeMy Public PortalAbout13862ORDINANCE NO. 13862 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Million Dollars ($6,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-15 McKelvey/R.R. to Adie Sanitary Relief Phase III (10489) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20157 with J & J Boring, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Eleven Million Five Hundred Sixty Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars ($11,560,753.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Thirty- Nine Thousand Two Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars ($339,247.00), and an appropriation in the succeeding fiscal year will complete the total funding of said project. WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Million Dollars ($6,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-15 McKelvey/R.R. to Adie Sanitary Relief Phase III (10489) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20157 with J & J Boring, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-15 McKelvey/R.R. to Adie Sanitary Relief Phase III (10489) in the City of Maryland Heights Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 24th day of April, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on July 10, 2014.
