AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($3,350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell-Coldwater-Missouri-Meramec Public I/I Reduction
(2015) Contract A (11853), in various sites in the City of Florissant and unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20125 with Insituform
Technologies USA, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Three Million One
Hundred Seventy-One Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars ($3,171,898.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Seventy-
Eight Thousand One Hundred Two Dollars ($178,102.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($3,350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell-Coldwater-Missouri-Meramec
Public I/I Reduction (2015) Contract A (11853), in various sites in the City of Florissant and
unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20125 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell-Coldwater-Missouri-Meramec Public I/I Reduction
(2015) Contract A (11853), in various sites in the City of Florissant and unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of May, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on July 10, 2014.
