AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for storm
sewer construction at Creekhaven Drive Storm Improvements (11215), in the City of Des Peres,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20164 with ABNA Engineering,
Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the storm sewer construction is Thirty-Eight Thousand
Five Hundred Twenty-Three and 60/100 Dollars ($38,523.60) and the allowance for change
orders and other project costs is Eleven Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Six and 40/100 Dollars
($11,476.40), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction at Creekhaven Drive Storm Improvements
(11215), in the City of Des Peres, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20164 with ABNA Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the storm sewer
construction at Creekhaven Drive Storm Improvements (11215), in the City of Des Peres,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of May, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on July 10, 2014.
