HomeMy Public PortalAbout13878ORDINANCE NO. 13878 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Black Creek I/I Reduction (11689), in the Cities of Clayton, Ladue, Olivette, University City and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20163 with SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Five Million Three Hundred Twenty-Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-Two and 25/100 Dollars ($5,329,872.25) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Seventy Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Seven and 75/100 Dollars ($270,127.75), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Black Creek I/I Reduction (11689), in the Cities of Clayton, Ladue, Olivette, University City and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20163 with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Black Creek I/I Reduction (11689), in the Cities of Clayton, Ladue, Olivette, University City and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of June, 2014. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on August 5, 2014.
