AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to exercise the District's option to renew
for the first one-year renewal term the contract with StandPoint Public Affairs for required public
education, outreach and engagement services in the Private Inflow/Infiltration Public
Engagement Program 2013 (11699) and appropriating Seven Hundred Nine Thousand Dollars
($709,000.00) from the General Fund for the aforesaid services.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 13437, adopted August 9, 2012, authorized said
contract and provided for a one (1) year period with two (2) additional one-year renewal terms at
the option of the District, and,
WHEREAS, the District desires to exercise its option to renew said contract for
the second of two (2) one-year renewal options, and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to exercise the District's
option to renew for the first one-year renewal term the contract with StandPoint Public Affairs
for public education, outreach and engagement services in the Private Inflow/Infiltration Public
Engagement Program 2013 (11699).
Section Two. The sum of Seven Hundred Nine Thousand Dollars ($709,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the General Fund for the Private Inflow/Infiltration Public
Engagement Program 2013 (11699).
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on August 5, 2014.
