AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell-Coldwater-Missouri-Meramec Public I/I Reduction
(2015) Contract B (11854), in various sites in the Cities of Florissant and Hazelwood, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20150 with Insituform Technologies
USA, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Four Million One
Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-Eight Dollars ($4,172,438.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Twenty-
Seven Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars ($227,562.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell-Coldwater-Missouri-Meramec
Public I/I Reduction (2015) Contract B (11854), in various sites in the Cities of Florissant and
Hazelwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20150 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell-Coldwater-Missouri-Meramec Public I/I Reduction
(2015) Contract B (11854), in various sites in the Cities of Florissant and Hazelwood, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of June, 2014.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 11, 2014.
